Fact-Checking Policy

How every fact on MVM Times is checked before it is published, and again when it changes.

Last updated: 19 October 2026

Our standard

A fact goes on MVM Times only when we can point to the official source it came from. For school information that means the Maharishi Vidya Mandir website (mvmindia.com) or the branch’s own website; for exams it means the board’s website or circular; for jobs it means the official advertisement; for fees it means the school’s published fee structure or a government fee order.

How we check

  • We open the original notice or page ourselves, rather than relying on another news site.
  • Dates, fees, ages, seat rules and vacancy details are copied from the source and cross-checked by a second editor.
  • When two official sources disagree (for example, a branch page and the national office page), we report both and say which one parents should confirm.
  • We label last year’s dates as last year’s. We never present a guessed date as an announced one.
  • If something has not been announced, we write “not announced yet” until the official notice is out.

Numbers and data

Figures in tables and charts are taken directly from official documents, with the source linked beside them. We do not estimate fees, salaries, cut-offs or results.

After publishing

We re-check important articles when a new notice is issued and update the article, showing the updated date at the top. Readers can flag an error at [email protected]; see our Corrections Policy.
