- ISC 12th time table 2027: not released yet (cisce.org checked on 19 October 2026)
- Exam window listed by CISCE: February to April 2027
- Last year (2026), ISC ran from 12 February to 6 April 2026; timetable issued 13 November 2025
- Theory papers: 3 hours each, plus 15 minutes reading time
There is no ISC 12th time table 2027 on cisce.org yet; the Council had not released it as of 19 October 2026. Its examination page lists only the window, February to April 2027, with results expected in May 2027. Until the paper-wise PDF is posted, the 2026 schedule below is last year’s reference for planning.
ISC 2026 timetable by stream
ISC has no formal streams; students pick subject combinations. To make the official 2026 timetable easier to read, we have grouped the papers the way most schools offer them. These are 2026 dates, not 2027. Papers began at 2 pm unless marked otherwise, and every paper listed was of 3 hours.

Two things stand out. Science students had a long gap between Chemistry (23 February) and Physics (16 March), with Biology and Mathematics in between. Humanities students, on the other hand, finished last, with Geography on 6 April. If the ISC 12th time table 2027 follows a similar pattern, the subject that closes your timetable may give you the longest runway, but do not plan on it until the official PDF is out.
Timing rules from the 2026 timetable

Inside the ISC exam hall: rules from the 2026 directions
The table above covers timing and the basic do’s and don’ts. The 2026 timetable goes further, and a few of its rules are specific to ISC.
Calculators
ISC candidates may use a Casio fx-82 MS scientific calculator, a calculator of another make with similar functions, or a basic calculator. Any calculator that can store and retrieve information is not allowed. Check your model against this rule well before March, not on the morning of the Mathematics paper.
Conduct and the answer booklet
- Dress: school uniform for regular candidates; light-coloured clothes for those not in regular attendance. Every exam room is under CCTV.
- You cannot leave the room before the paper ends, and you must not write during the 15 minutes of reading time.
- If you are given a paper you are not entered for, or the questions mention a map or material you have not received, tell the supervising examiner at once and return any wrong paper.
- Write your Unique ID, Index Number and Subject on the top sheet and on every continuation booklet, graph or map. Sign only in the space provided.
- Write on both sides of each sheet unless the paper says otherwise, leave margins on both sides, and number answers exactly as the question paper does.
- Do rough work on the same sheet as the answer. Ask for a continuation booklet only when the pages you have are full, and attach every booklet issued, used or not.
Unfair means and the penalties
The ISC regulations printed with the timetable are blunt. A candidate caught giving or getting help can be expelled from the hall and kept out of the remaining papers. Possessing a phone, smartwatch, wireless device, notes or any paper other than the question paper can lead to the whole examination result being cancelled. So can trying to influence an examiner or CISCE staff about a result. Impersonation is reported to the Chief Executive and the candidate’s results are cancelled, and a person who gets in on false identification is handed to the police. Results of suspected cases may be held back, and a candidate whose result is cancelled may be barred from later examinations.
Practicals and project work
CISCE describes the ISC assessment structure as theory examination, practical examination and project work, and SUPW, with theory and practical papers each running 3 hours. The theory dates above are only half the calendar for science and several elective subjects. Practical and project components are scheduled and conducted through the school, and CISCE has not published a public 2027 calendar for them on its website. Students should take those dates from their school’s circulars.
ISC 2027 specimen papers and the 50% competency rule
CISCE released specimen question papers and answer keys for ISC (Class XII) 2027 in a circular dated 9 October 2026. It says about 50% of the weightage in 2027 will go to questions that ask you to apply, analyse, evaluate or create. The subjects covered so far:

| Group | ISC 2027 specimen papers released |
|---|---|
| English | Modern English: Literature in English (Prescribed Texts); Elective English |
| Humanities | Political Science, Geography, Sociology, Psychology, Economics |
| Mathematics | Mathematics, Applied Mathematics |
| Science and technology | Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics (Paper 1, Theory, in each) |
For other subjects, the 2026 rubric continues. CISCE also cautions that the actual question papers may differ from the specimens, while the topic-wise weightage in the Regulations and Syllabuses will be kept strictly. Treat the specimens as a guide to format, not a preview. We cover new CISCE circulars as they appear in our education news section.
Admit card for ISC 2027
The Admission Card is issued by CISCE and reaches you through your school, since ISC candidates are entered by their schools. It is one of only two kinds of things you may carry into the hall, the other being stationery in a transparent pouch. Do not write anything on it. CISCE has not announced when 2027 admission cards will be issued; check every detail (name, Unique ID, index number, subjects) as soon as you get it and report errors to the school office.
Planning your ISC 2027 preparation
CISCE has listed the ISC window as February to April 2027, with results expected in May. In 2026 the first paper was on 12 February and the last on 6 April, so the season can run eight weeks.
| When | What to do |
|---|---|
| Now to November 2026 | Solve the 2027 specimen papers under a 3-hour limit. Keep practical files and project work up to date. |
| November 2026 | Last year the timetable came on 13 November. Map your papers the day it appears. |
| December 2026 to January 2027 | School pre-boards, practicals and project submissions on your school’s dates. |
| February to April 2027 | Theory papers, mostly at 2 pm. Plan revision around the longest gaps on your own timetable. |
Clashes, failed papers and the second chance
ISC subjects that share a slot on the timetable are alternatives, so a true clash is unusual. If two of your subjects do appear together, raise it through your school straight away. For a paper that goes wrong, the 2026 timetable sets out these routes:
- Recheck: apply online within four days of the result. It checks only that all answers were marked, the totals are right and the continuation sheets are intact.
- Re-evaluation: apply within three days of the recheck result. Revised marks are final, up or down.
- Improvement exam in the same year: up to three subjects, theory paper compulsory. Practical and project marks are carried forward, unless you were absent for them. A candidate whose result is ABSENT cannot take it.
- Did not qualify: you may reappear once, in the following year, in all subjects, without further attendance at school.
- Qualified but want to improve later: a supplementary attempt in the following year’s exam is allowed in one or more subjects you took before. Entries go online through the school in July and August.
Answer scripts are kept for only 60 days after the result, so apply early if you plan to challenge marks. Result-day updates are posted in our results section.
Is that ISC 12th time table 2027 real? How to check
The 2026 timetable was a six-page PDF dated 13 November 2025, signed by Dr Joseph Emmanuel, Chief Executive and Secretary, and posted on cisce.org with the notice “ISC (Class XII) Year 2026 Examination Timetable has been released”. Expect the same form for 2027. A list that circulates on social media before it appears on cisce.org, has no signature, or mixes ICSE and ISC papers is not official.
Getting the ISC 12th time table 2027 PDF from cisce.org
- Go to cisce.org.
- Open the latest notifications on the home page or the Notifications archive.
- Click the notice for the ISC (Class XII) Year 2027 Examination Timetable. Last year’s notice was titled “ISC (Class XII) Year 2026 Examination Timetable has been released”.
- The PDF opens with directions to candidates first; the date-wise table is on the final page. Save it and tally the dates with your school’s copy.
Admit cards come later, close to the exam. The 2026 timetable required candidates to carry the Admission Card issued by CISCE; ISC candidates are entered by their schools, so the school is where to ask for it.

Class 10 students can check the separate ICSE 10th time table 2027 page. Timetables for other boards are listed in our board exams section.
Checked on 19 October 2026 against cisce.org: ISC 2026 timetable (13 November 2025), CISCE examination page, and circular PV/N/2026-2027 dated 9 October 2026. This page will be updated when the ISC 12th time table 2027 is released.
