UP Board 12th Time Table 2027 Out: Stream-wise Exam Dates

Class 12 students across Uttar Pradesh now know exactly how February will look. The UP Board 12th time table 2027, issued by the Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP), Prayagraj, on 12 October 2026, opens the Intermediate papers with Hindi and General Hindi on Friday, 5 February 2027 and closes with Sanskrit on Wednesday, 24 February 2027. Every paper is held in one of two sittings: 8:30 am to 11:45 am, or 2 pm to 5:15 pm.

The board’s notice, signed by Secretary Bhagwati Singh, is a joint schedule for High School and Intermediate. We went through the scanned five-page time table PDF on upmsp.edu.in row by row and pulled out only the Class 12 entries, then sorted them by stream. A PCM student, a commerce student and an agriculture student each get their own table below. Subject names are our English renderings of the Hindi original, so if a term looks unfamiliar, match it against the PDF.

What exactly did UPMSP announce on 12 October?

The first page of the PDF is a short vigyapti (public notice). It says the High School and Intermediate board exams for 2027 will begin together on 5 February and end on 24 February, and that the date-wise, subject-wise programme is attached. The next four pages carry that programme in a four-column table: day and date, timing, the High School paper, and the Intermediate paper. The Intermediate column is the rightmost one.

Count the dates and you get 15 working days for Class 12. Sundays (7, 14 and 21 February) are free, and so is Thursday, 11 February, which has no paper for either class. On the opening day the morning slot belongs to Class 10 alone; Intermediate candidates begin only in the afternoon.

There is a pattern in how the board has placed Class 12 subjects, and it helps with planning. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, English, History, Geography, Economics and Business Studies are all in the afternoon. The morning sittings carry agriculture, the vocational trade papers, music and dance, the regional languages, NCC, Accountancy and Computer. Commerce students should note that Accountancy is the one core paper that falls in a morning slot.

Science stream: when are Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology?

Science students start with the two language papers in the first week and then get their main subjects in a tight stretch between 12 and 17 February. Biology and Mathematics share the same afternoon, so a PCB student and a PCM student write on the same day.

How much breathing space is there between science papers?

After Maths or Biology on 12 February, there are two clear days (13 and 14 February) before Chemistry on the 15th. Physics follows on the 17th with only Tuesday, 16 February in between. That single-day gap before Physics is the tightest stretch for science students, so it makes sense to finish Physics numericals and derivations before February rather than counting on that one day.

Commerce stream: which dates should commerce students circle?

Commerce is spread out more evenly, but it ends with a squeeze. Business Studies is on the afternoon of Monday, 22 February and Accountancy is the very next morning. The gap between the two papers is about 15 hours, overnight.

Arts and Humanities: is there a paper almost every day?

Very nearly. Humanities has the widest subject menu, so the board has spread it across the whole window. Civics and History come back to back on 9 and 10 February. From 15 to 20 February there is a humanities paper every working day. A student only writes the subjects they registered for, so your own calendar will be much lighter than this table.

Hindi or General Hindi (5 February) and English (8 February) apply to humanities students as well, depending on their registered combination.

Agriculture and vocational candidates: what does your schedule look like?

Both groups write mostly in the morning. Intermediate agriculture is split into Part 1 (papers 1 to 5) and Part 2 (papers 6 to 10), and each sitting below carries one paper from each part, so you will only write the one that matches your year of registration.

Agriculture (Krishi) papers

Crop Science (Shasya Vigyan), listed as a vocational subject, is also in the morning sitting of 13 February.

Vocational trades (Group I)

The vocational stream has a long list of trades, from food preservation, cookery, textile design and dairy technology to banking, insurance, printing, computer maintenance and data entry, mobile repairing, tourism and hospitality, IT/ITES and health care. The PDF marks these papers “only for vocational education Group I”. All trades write the same paper number on the same day.

Morning or afternoon: which shift will you write in?

Both sittings are three hours and fifteen minutes long. In the board’s 2026 instruction booklet for exam centres, that duration included 15 minutes for reading the question paper before writing begins; the 2027 booklet has not been published yet, but the shift timings are identical.

On the Class 12 side the split is lopsided in a useful way. Of the 15 Intermediate exam days, 14 have a Class 12 paper in the morning and all 15 have one in the afternoon, but the morning papers belong mainly to agriculture, vocational, music, regional language, Accountancy and Computer candidates. A typical science or humanities student will travel to the centre only after lunch on every exam day, which matters for families arranging transport in rural districts.

When are the UP Board Class 12 practical exams in 2027?

The 12 October notice covers theory papers only. For practicals, the reference point is the board’s academic calendar for 2026-27, circulated to all district inspectors of schools on 23 March 2026. Its January page lists three exam activities: Class 12 pre-board practicals, Class 10 and 12 pre-board written exams, and the Class 12 board practical exams. The February page again lists Class 12 board practicals, alongside the board exams themselves.

So the practical window is set to open in January 2027 and run into February. District-wise or phase-wise dates have not been announced yet. Last session the board held Intermediate practicals in phases and issued a separate notice on 9 February 2026 extending the dates of phases 1 and 2, which shows the final calendar usually comes as its own notice closer to the time.

One line in the January calendar deserves attention: schools are told to ensure 75 per cent attendance before the annual exam and not to let students below that mark sit for it. If your attendance is borderline, speak to your class teacher now rather than in January.

When will the UP Board 12th admit card 2027 come out?

No date has been notified. The academic calendar places “making admit cards available to students for the board exam” in February 2027, as a task for schools. Regular students should expect to collect it from their principal in the days before 5 February. Private candidates should follow notices on upmsp.edu.in and the centre allotted to them.

When you get the card, check your name, parents’ names, photograph, roll number, centre name and, most importantly, the list of subjects. Every date in the tables above only applies if the subject appears on your admit card.

What rules apply inside the exam centre?

The board publishes a fresh instruction booklet (Nirdesh Pustika) for centres each year. The 2026 booklet is the latest one available, and these points from it affect students directly:

• Candidates are frisked at the main gate. Girls are checked only by women staff.
• Mobile phones, calculators and other electronic devices are not allowed inside. Centres keep a counter outside for such items.
• You sit according to the centre seating plan, with at least two invigilators in every room.
• Your roll number must be written on every page of the answer book, and the cover details must be filled in correctly.
• CCTV cameras run throughout the exam, and recordings are kept for at least 30 days.
• Candidates with visual impairment and other divyang candidates get 20 extra minutes per hour.
• Cases of unfair means and impersonation fall under the Uttar Pradesh Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.

The booklet does not set a fixed reporting time for students. Reach early anyway, because frisking at the gate takes time and the paper starts at 8:30 or 2:00 sharp.

How to download the UP Board 12th time table 2027 PDF

1. Open the board’s website, upmsp.edu.in.
2. In the notices list on the home page, look for the entry dated 12-10-2026 titled “हाईस्कूल एवं इण्टरमीडिएट बोर्ड परीक्षा-2027 का परीक्षा कार्यक्रम (समय सारिणी)”.
3. Click it. A five-page PDF named TimeTable_2027_Vigyapti opens in the browser.
4. Page 1 is the notice. Pages 2 to 5 hold the schedule; read the fourth column, headed इण्टरमीडिएट, for Class 12.
5. Download or print it. The file is a scan, so the search function will not find subject names; zoom in and read the rows instead.

Avoid edited “PDF” versions doing the rounds on messaging groups. If a copy does not carry the Secretary’s signature and the 12-10-2026 date on its first page, go back to the original file.

Two of my subjects fall on the same day. What now?

Look at the same-slot pairs first. In the Class 12 schedule, these subjects share a sitting: Biology and Mathematics (12 February), Chemistry and Sociology (15 February), Physics and Military Science (17 February), Psychology, Education and Logic (20 February), Business Studies and Home Science (22 February), Accountancy and NCC (23 February), and Pali, Arabic and Persian (23 February).

If two subjects on your registration land in one sitting, do not assume the board will sort it out on exam day. The UP Board 12th time table 2027 notice does not describe any separate arrangement for clashes. Take your registration details to the principal straight away and ask the school to raise it with the board’s regional office. The same applies if a subject you study is missing from your admit card, or one you dropped still shows up. Corrections are far easier before admit cards are printed than after.
