About the PM-KISAN Scheme
PM-KISAN is a central sector scheme that gives eligible landholding farmer families ₹6,000 a year, paid in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 directly into their bank accounts. The full cost is borne by the Centre, while state governments identify and verify the beneficiaries.

When Will the 25th Instalment Come?
The government has not announced a date for the 25th instalment. Instalments are released three times a year: in 2026 the 22nd instalment was released in March and the 24th on 30 October. Any specific date for the 25th instalment seen online before an official announcement is speculation. Watch the PM-KISAN portal and PIB for the official date.
How to Check if You Received the 24th Instalment
- Go to the official website, pmkisan.gov.in.
- Under “Farmers Corner”, click “Know Your Status”.
- Enter your registration number (use the “Know your registration no.” option if you do not have it).
- Fill in the captcha and enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
- Check the payment details shown for the 24th instalment, including the date and the bank account to which it was sent.
A credit may take a few days to show in your bank passbook even after the portal shows it as processed.
How to Check the PM Kisan Beneficiary List
- Open the beneficiary list page on pmkisan.gov.in.
- Select your state, district, sub-district, block and village.
- Click “Get Report”.
- Look for your name in the village list.

If your name is not on the list, contact the agriculture office of your block or district, since states are responsible for verifying beneficiaries.
PM Kisan eKYC: Why It Matters and How to Do It
eKYC is mandatory for PM-KISAN beneficiaries, and farmers with incomplete eKYC can miss instalments. There are three ways to complete it:
- OTP-based eKYC: on the PM-KISAN portal, using the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar.
- Face authentication: through the official PM-KISAN mobile app.
- Biometric eKYC: at a Common Service Centre (CSC) if the online options do not work for you.

After completing eKYC, check your status on the portal again after a day or two to confirm it has been updated.
Who Is Eligible for PM-KISAN
The scheme is meant for landholding farmer families whose land records are verified by the state. Some categories are excluded under the scheme guidelines, including institutional landholders, holders or former holders of constitutional posts, serving or retired government employees (other than certain lower-grade staff), people who paid income tax in the last assessment year, and professionals such as doctors, engineers, lawyers and chartered accountants practising their profession. The full list of exclusions is in the guidelines on pmkisan.gov.in.
Instalment Not Credited? Check These
- eKYC is complete and shows as done on the portal.
- Your bank account is seeded with Aadhaar and is active for DBT.
- Your land records have been verified by the state.
- Your name and Aadhaar details match across records.
- Your record has not been flagged for re-verification by the state.
If everything looks correct and the money still has not arrived, contact your block agriculture office or use the helpdesk option on the PM-KISAN portal.
New to PM-KISAN? How to Register
Farmers who are not yet in the scheme can apply online. Registration does not guarantee the next instalment: the application has to be verified by the state government first, and only then is the farmer added to the payment list.
- On pmkisan.gov.in, open “Farmers Corner” and choose “New Farmer Registration”.
- Select rural or urban farmer, enter your Aadhaar number and mobile number, and choose your state.
- Verify with the OTP and fill in personal, bank and land details as asked.
- Submit the form and note the registration number shown on screen.
- Track the application through the status option on the portal and complete eKYC once registration is approved.
Keep copies of your land records, Aadhaar and bank passbook handy, because the state agriculture department may ask for them during verification. Common reasons for rejection are a mismatch between the name on Aadhaar and on land records, land in the name of a relative rather than the applicant, and bank accounts that are not seeded with Aadhaar.
