MP Board 12th Time Table 2027: Stream-wise MPBSE Exam Dates

MP Board 12th time table 2027: MPBSE Higher Secondary exams run 17 Feb to 19 Mar 2027. Stream-wise dates for Science, Commerce, Arts and other groups.

MP Board 12th Time Table 2027 cover listing Science, Commerce, Arts and exam window 17 Feb to 19 Mar

Physics on 4 March, Biology on 8 March, Chemistry on 13 March, Mathematics on 16 March. That is how the MP Board 12th time table 2027 lines up for Science students, and Commerce and Arts have their own rhythm inside the same window. The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) will hold the Higher Secondary main exams from Wednesday, 17 February to Friday, 19 March 2027, every paper from 9 am to 12 noon.

The schedule covers regular and self-study students and was reported by NDTV and The Indian Express on 14 August 2026. Below, we first give the complete date-wise list and then break it down stream by stream, with the number of free days you get before each main paper.

The Higher Secondary programme runs across 17 exam days. Several subjects share a date, which is normal for a board with this many electives: a student writes only the paper in his or her own combination on that day. Weekdays are calculated from the 2027 calendar.

Read the table as two halves. Until 26 February the board clears the languages, music, vocational and skill papers, plus Hindi and English. From 1 March the main subject papers take over, and they are spaced out more widely. Two Saturdays carry papers (Sanskrit on 20 February and the large 13 March slot), but no Sunday does.

The busiest stretch is 22 to 26 February, with a paper on five consecutive days. Few students will have all five, since Drawing and Designing and Psychology are electives, but the bulk of the class writes Hindi on the 23rd and English on the 26th.

Stream-wise MP Board 12th time table 2027

MPBSE does not publish a separate sheet for each stream. The board lists papers by date, and students pick out their own. We have done that for the main combinations. Free days are counted from the student’s previous main paper in that stream, taking English on 26 February as the starting point.

Science stream

Physics comes first for every Science student, on Thursday, 4 March. After that the two groups split.

PCM (Mathematics group)

PaperDateFree days before it
PhysicsThu, 4 March5 (27 Feb to 3 Mar)
ChemistrySat, 13 March8 (5 to 12 Mar)
MathematicsTue, 16 March2 (14 and 15 Mar)

The eight-day gap before Chemistry is generous, but the squeeze comes right after it. Mathematics follows Chemistry with only Sunday and Monday (14 and 15 March) in between, so PCM students should not leave calculus and probability revision for those two days. Students who also take Informatics Practices will write it on 1 March, inside the run-up to Physics.

PCB (Biology group)

PaperDateFree days before it
PhysicsThu, 4 March5 (27 Feb to 3 Mar)
BiologyMon, 8 March3 (5 to 7 Mar)
ChemistrySat, 13 March4 (9 to 12 Mar)

PCB students finish their main papers on 13 March, earlier than PCM, unless an optional subject keeps them on. The spacing is even, which suits a subject like Biology where diagrams and long answers need steady revision rather than a single all-nighter. Biotechnology, offered as a separate subject, is the very first paper of the whole exam on 17 February.

Commerce stream

PaperDateFree days before it
EconomicsThu, 4 March5 (27 Feb to 3 Mar)
Business StudiesSat, 13 March8 (5 to 12 Mar)
Mathematics (if opted)Tue, 16 March2 (14 and 15 Mar)
AccountancyWed, 17 March3 after Business Studies, or none after Mathematics

Commerce students who have Mathematics in their combination face back-to-back papers on 16 and 17 March, Mathematics and then Accountancy. It is one of only two such pairs for the main streams; the other is Sociology and Economics for Arts students. Practise Accountancy problems through February so that the evening of 16 March is only for a final look at formats and adjustments. Informatics Practices, if you take it, is on 1 March.

Arts (Humanities) stream

Humanities students have the longest spread. Depending on the combination, the first main paper can be as early as 25 February and the last is on the final day of the exam.

PaperDate
PsychologyThu, 25 February
SociologyWed, 3 March
EconomicsThu, 4 March
Political ScienceThu, 11 March
HistorySat, 13 March
GeographyFri, 19 March

Sociology and Economics fall on consecutive days, 3 and 4 March. Political Science and History are two days apart. Geography, on 19 March, gets a long run-up for anyone whose previous paper was History on the 13th. Free-day counts vary too much by combination to tabulate, so mark your own subjects on the calendar above.

Within that list, the longest breather is between Economics on 4 March and Political Science on 11 March: six free days, from 5 to 10 March. It makes sense to revise Political Science and History together in that stretch, because after Political Science there is only one free day, 12 March, before History. Students with Geography then get five free days, 14 to 18 March, which is enough for map work and a couple of full-length practice papers.

Agriculture, Fine Arts and Home Science groups

  • Agriculture: Elements of Science, and Animal Husbandry, Poultry Farming & Fishery, both on 4 March; Agriculture on 17 March; Crop Production & Horticulture on 19 March.
  • Fine Arts: Drawing and Designing on 24 February; History of Indian Art & World Art on 4 March; Drawing & Painting on 13 March.
  • Home Science: Home Management, Nutrition & Textile on 13 March; Home Science on 17 March; Anatomy, Physiology & Health on 19 March.
  • Music: Gayan Vadan and Tabla Pakhawaj on 17 February, the opening day.

Languages, NSQF, AI and Physical Education

Urdu and Marathi are on 18 February and Sanskrit on 20 February. Every NSQF vocational subject, Artificial Intelligence and Physical Education share Monday, 22 February. Hindi follows on 23 February and English on 26 February. For a vocational student, this means three papers inside five days in the second half of February, well before the main subject papers begin.

If you carry an additional subject

Subject combinations differ between schools, and some students carry one paper outside the core three. Check where it falls before you build a revision plan. A Science or Commerce student with Informatics Practices writes it on 1 March, three days before Physics or Economics. A Humanities student with Psychology starts on 25 February, the day before English. A student with Physical Education or an NSQF subject has it on 22 February, the day before Hindi. None of these clash with a main stream paper, since MPBSE has kept each of them on a separate date.

How the Class 12 window compares with Class 10

Higher Secondary starts a full week before High School and ends a day after it. Class 10 runs from 24 February to 18 March with nine exam days; Class 12 runs from 17 February to 19 March with seventeen. The two classes overlap on just two mornings, 24 and 25 February, when Class 12 has Drawing and Designing and then Psychology.

For schools that run both classes, the exam season stretches from mid-February to the third week of March, with practicals fitted in between. Teachers will be busy through those weeks, so clear your doubts in January rather than waiting for the last fortnight. Families with a sibling in Class 10 can find the full High School dates on the board’s time table page linked below.

Timings, practicals and the June second exam

Each paper runs for three hours, 9 am to 12 noon. According to the reporting rules carried by Patrika, candidates must reach the centre by 8 am and be seated by 8:30 am. Entry stops at 8:45 am, when the question paper is distributed; the answer book follows at 8:55 am.

One detail is easy to miss. Since the question paper is handed out at 8:45 am and the answer book at 8:55 am, candidates get roughly fifteen minutes with the paper before they can start writing. Use that time to pick the order of answers and to spot the long questions in Physics or Accountancy, rather than worrying about the one question you cannot do.

Practicals carry real weight in Class 12, where subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Geography have practical marks. The Free Press Journal reported that main-session practicals will be held between 1 February and 19 March 2027, on holidays too if necessary. That window overlaps with the theory papers, so expect your school to fit practicals around the days you are free.

The same report gives 11 to 30 June 2027 as the window for the Class 12 second examination, with Class 12 practicals for that exam held in the same period. MPBSE’s own notice for the second exam, with eligibility and the paper-wise programme, is not out yet.

Note: The practical window and the June dates come from a newspaper report on the timetable, not from a separate MPBSE notice that we could open. Confirm practical dates with your school.

Where to find the official timetable

The authoritative version is the Hindi PDF of the main exam programme on mpbse.nic.in, under the Time Table menu (the board’s exam time table page). The PDF lists subjects in Hindi, so keep the English names from the table above next to it while you check. Look for the 2027 Higher Secondary entry and check the year printed at the top before you save it. Exam forms and school services run separately on mpbse.mponline.gov.in.

Once you have the MP Board 12th time table 2027 printed, mark only your own papers on it and stick it where you study. Add your school’s practical dates as they are announced, along with any pre-board papers. A single page showing every fixed date from February to March is more useful than three separate notices pinned in different places, and it makes it obvious which weeks have no room for anything else.

Important: Edited copies of board timetables circulate on social media every year. If a date in a forwarded image does not match the MPBSE PDF, go by the PDF.

Not yet announced as of 21 October 2026: the admit card date, the result date and school-wise practical schedules. We will add them here once MPBSE publishes them, and results will appear in our results section.

CBSE and ISC students: use your own board’s schedule

The MP Board 12th time table 2027 is only for MPBSE-affiliated Higher Secondary schools and the board’s private candidates. Maharishi Vidya Mandir schools in Madhya Pradesh follow CBSE, not MPBSE, so their Class 12 students should go by the CBSE Class 12 date sheet 2027. The MVM branch list gives the board for each school.

ISC candidates have the ISC Class 12 time table 2027, and students comparing Hindi-belt state boards can look at the UP Board 12th time table 2027, which starts earlier in February. Our board exams page collects the rest.

The High School papers start a week later; dates for every subject are in our MP Board 10th time table 2027 page.
