If you are in second year PU anywhere in Karnataka, your board exams will most likely open on Saturday, 27 February 2027, with Kannada or Arabic, and close on Wednesday, 17 March with Hindi. That is the first big takeaway from the Karnataka 2nd PUC time table 2027, which the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) placed on its website on 8 October 2026 along with the schedule for a second attempt in May.
The word that matters on both documents is “tentative”. KSEAB opened the drafts to objections until 22 October 2026, so some dates may still shift. What follows is drawn from the board’s own PDFs: the English and Kannada tables for II PUC Exam-1 and Exam-2, the covering circular, and the registration circulars that went out the same month. We have rearranged the papers by stream as well, because that is how most students actually look for their dates.
Karnataka 2nd PUC Time Table 2027 at a Glance
Put every date the board has announced so far on one line, and the 2026-27 exam year looks like this. Registration and the objection window overlap in October, the main exam runs from the last weekend of February to the middle of March, and the second attempt sits in the first half of May.

- 8 October 2026: tentative Exam-1 and Exam-2 timetables published; objection window opens
- 8 October to 11 November 2026: PU colleges upload details of regular (fresh) students for Exam-1
- From 13 October 2026: online registration for repeaters and students who want to improve their result
- 22 October 2026: last date for objections to the tentative timetable
- 27 February to 17 March 2027: II PUC Exam-1 (tentative)
- 3 May to 15 May 2027: II PUC Exam-2 (tentative)
- Final timetable, admit cards, results: not announced yet
Exam-1, 27 February to 17 March: Every Paper
Nearly every Exam-1 paper runs from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM, a three-hour slot. The single exception is 11 March, when the vocational (NSQF) subjects and Hindustani Music are written from 10.00 AM to 12.15 PM. Maximum marks shown here are for the written paper, exactly as the timetable prints them.

Holidays inside the Exam-1 window
Five days inside these three weeks carry no paper, and the board has labelled each one. Sunday, 28 February and Sunday, 7 March are plain holidays. Saturday, 6 March is marked as a holiday for the Shivaratri festival, and Wednesday, 10 March as a holiday for Ramzan. Sunday, 14 March is also left free. The result is a long weekend from 6 to 7 March, right after Accountancy, which commerce students will want to use for Basic Maths and Economics on 8 and 9 March.
Exam-2 in May: The Date-Wise List
Exam-2 squeezes the same subjects into twelve exam days between Monday, 3 May and Saturday, 15 May 2027, with only Sunday, 9 May off. The order changes a great deal. English, the second paper in Exam-1, moves almost to the end, and Biology, Computer Science, Chemistry and Physics all fall between 4 and 8 May.
- 3 May, Monday: Kannada, Arabic
- 4 May, Tuesday: Accountancy, Biology, Geology, Electronics
- 5 May, Wednesday: Political Science, Computer Science
- 6 May, Thursday: History, Chemistry
- 7 May, Friday: Business Studies, Psychology, Education
- 8 May, Saturday: Optional Kannada, Physics, Basic Maths
- 10 May, Monday: Economics, Mathematics
- 11 May, Tuesday: Hindi
- 12 May, Wednesday: English
- 13 May, Thursday: Sociology, Statistics
- 14 May, Friday: Logic, Geography, Home Science
- 15 May, Saturday (morning): Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Urdu, Sanskrit, French
- 15 May, Saturday (afternoon): Hindustani Music and the NSQF vocational subjects
15 May is the only double-shift day
Every Exam-2 paper runs from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM except one group. On the final day, the minor languages are written in the morning slot and the vocational subjects plus Hindustani Music move to an afternoon slot, from 2.00 PM to 4.15 PM. That is the only afternoon paper anywhere in the 2027 II PUC schedule, so vocational students should note it carefully. Subject codes and maximum marks are the same as in Exam-1.
Find Your Dates by Stream
Most PU students in Karnataka write two languages and four optional subjects from one combination. Reading a date-wise table for your four subjects is tedious, so here are the tentative dates from the Karnataka 2nd PUC time table 2027 grouped the way colleges group students.

Science (PCMB, PCMC, PCME and similar)
- Physics: 4 March (Exam-1), 8 May (Exam-2)
- Chemistry: 8 March, 6 May
- Mathematics: 12 March, 10 May
- Biology: 15 March, 4 May
- Computer Science: 15 March, 5 May
- Electronics: 16 March, 4 May
Biology and Computer Science share 15 March in Exam-1, which works because science students normally take one or the other. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science and Electronics each carry 70 marks for the written paper.
Commerce
- Accountancy: 5 March, 4 May
- Basic Maths: 8 March, 8 May
- Economics: 9 March, 10 May
- Business Studies: 12 March, 7 May
- Statistics: 16 March, 13 May
- Mathematics (where offered): 12 March, 10 May
Arts
- Geography: 3 March, 14 May
- Psychology: 3 March, 7 May
- Sociology: 4 March, 13 May
- Education: 8 March, 7 May
- Economics: 9 March, 10 May
- Geology: 9 March, 4 May
- Optional Kannada: 13 March, 8 May
- Logic: 13 March, 14 May
- Home Science: 13 March, 14 May
- Political Science: 15 March, 5 May
- History: 16 March, 6 May
Check for two of your subjects on one day
The board places several subjects on the same date, assuming no student takes both. That holds for most combinations, but not necessarily for all. In Exam-1, for example, Business Studies and Mathematics share 12 March; in Exam-2, Economics and Mathematics share 10 May, and Psychology and Education share 7 May. If your college runs a combination that puts two of your own subjects on one date, that is exactly what the objection window is for.
Languages and vocational subjects
English is on 1 March and 12 May, and Hindi on 17 March and 11 May. Kannada and Arabic open both exams (27 February and 3 May). The other second languages, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Urdu, Sanskrit and French, are on 2 March and 15 May. The NSQF subjects and Hindustani Music are on 11 March and 15 May.
Why Physics Shows 70 Marks and Accountancy 80
The “max marks” column is easy to misread. It lists only the maximum for the written board paper, not the total for the subject. Of the 40 subjects on the Exam-1 sheet, 26 carry 80 marks, six carry 70, seven carry 60 and one, Hindustani Music, carries 40.

The 70-mark papers are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Electronics and Home Science. The 60-mark papers are the seven NSQF vocational subjects. Every language, Mathematics, Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics and the remaining arts subjects carry 80. How the rest of each subject’s marks are assessed is set out in the board’s own documents, including the 2026-27 practical scheme of evaluation on the II PUC Student Corner.
Objecting to the Karnataka 2nd PUC Time Table 2027
The covering circular, issued in Kannada with the SSLC and PUC timetables, gives students, parents and the public 15 days, from 8 October to 22 October 2026, to send objections. For second PUC, they go by email to [email protected]. SSLC objections have a different address, so do not mix them up. Anything that arrives after the last date will not be considered.
- Check your four optional subjects and two languages against both tables above.
- Write down the precise problem: which date, which subject codes, and why it does not work.
- Email [email protected] with “II PUC 2027 tentative timetable: objection” in the subject, your name, college and district in the body, and the change you are requesting.
- If the problem affects your whole class, ask your principal to send a single email on behalf of the college. One clear, documented objection from a college is easier to act on than dozens of near-identical ones.
- Keep a copy of the sent email, dated no later than 22 October 2026.
Exam-1 Registration: Regular, Repeater and Private Candidates
Regular students: your college registers you
A KSEAB circular dated 8 October 2026 asks every PU college principal to upload the details of fresh (regular) students who will write II PUC Exam-1 through the PU Exam Portal on the board’s website. The window is 8 October to 11 November 2026. Principals log in with their college code and an OTP sent to the mobile number registered with the district DDPU office. Students do not apply themselves, but it is worth checking with your college office that your subjects and personal details were entered correctly.
Repeaters and students improving their result
Repeaters, and students who passed in 2026 and want to improve their marks, apply online only, from 13 October 2026, through the board’s II PUC repeater and private registration portal. The circular says they cannot register directly at a college. Applicants create a user ID and password with their mobile number, enter their register number, upload a JPG photo of 20 to 80 KB and pay online.
| Fee item (II PUC Exam-1, 2027) | Amount |
|---|---|
| Repeater, one subject | Rs 210 |
| Repeater, two subjects | Rs 405 |
| Repeater, three or more subjects | Rs 600 |
| Improvement, one subject, first attempt (passed in 2026 Exam-1 and did not register for improvement in Exam-2) | Rs 263 |
| Improvement, one subject, second and later attempts | Rs 525 |
| Marks card fee | Rs 75 |
| Last date to pay without late fee | 21 November 2026 |
| Last date with late fee (Rs 75 per day, maximum Rs 750) | 5 December 2026 |
The repeater fees above apply to candidates other than SC, ST and Category-1 students, as the circular specifies. A student who improves a result must hand in the original pass marks card to the Joint Director (PU Exams), KSEAB, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru, to receive the new one. The board has listed helpline numbers 9448772500, 9886082073 and 9663657041 for candidates who do not have their register number. Private candidates have a separate circular and user manual dated 13 October 2026 on the KSEAB home page.
Two Attempts in One Year: Where Exam-2 Fits
For 2027, KSEAB has published timetables for only two II PUC attempts, and its 8 October circular does not mention a third. TV9 Kannada reported on 17 October 2026 that the education department plans to hold two main exams for SSLC and PUC students instead of the three held over the past two years, pointing to last year’s record results. The board has not published a separate order on the change yet.
Exam-2 is the second chance in that system. The board has not yet published who may register for Exam-2 in 2027, the fee, or how marks from the two attempts will be combined. Those details normally come in a separate circular, and we will add them when it appears. For now, it makes sense to treat Exam-1 as your main attempt and Exam-2 as the fallback. Exam-2 begins in the first week of May, so the gap between the last Exam-1 paper and the first Exam-2 paper is nearly seven weeks.
If you are comparing calendars with friends in other boards, our pages on the CBSE Class 12 date sheet 2027, the ISC Class 12 time table 2027 and the UP Board 12th time table 2027 set out their schedules in the same way.
Board Material Worth Downloading Before February
The tentative timetable is only half of what KSEAB has put up for this batch. The II PUC Student Corner on the board’s PU exam portal now lists, for 2026-27:
- subject-wise blueprints
- subject-wise model question papers
- an exhaustive question bank
- the practical exam scheme of evaluation
- the 2026 board question papers with model answers
These come from the same board that will set your paper, so they are a better guide to the question pattern than any guidebook. Start with the blueprint for each subject, since it shows how marks are spread across chapters, then work through the 2026 papers under timed conditions. More board updates, including results when they are due, appear on our Board Exams page and Results page.
Once the objection window closes, KSEAB will issue the final II PUC Exam-1 and Exam-2 timetables. We will update the dates on this page as soon as the final PDF is out, and other exam notices are on our education news page.
If you also have a younger sibling sitting the SSLC, the separate Karnataka SSLC time table 2027 lists both of their exam windows paper by paper.
