The MP Board 10th time table 2027 is out, and the High School papers are packed into a little over three weeks. The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE), Bhopal, has fixed the Class 10 main examination from Wednesday, 24 February to Thursday, 18 March 2027. Every paper is in a single morning sitting, 9 am to 12 noon, and the same schedule applies to regular students and self-study (swadhyayi) candidates.
The board put out the programme in August 2026, so schools have more than six months to plan pre-boards and practicals around it. NDTV and The Indian Express carried the subject-wise dates on 14 August. What follows is the full list with weekdays, the gaps you get between papers, the exam-morning reporting rules and the steps to find the PDF on the board’s own website.
- Class 10 main exam: 24 February to 18 March 2027
- Timing: 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, one shift a day
- First paper: regional languages, Painting, Gayan Vadan, Tabla Pakhawaj and Computer on 24 February
- Hindi on 2 March, Mathematics on 5 March, Science on 15 March
- Last paper: Social Science on 18 March
- Separate question papers for Mathematics Standard and Mathematics Basic
MP Board 10th Time Table 2027: Subject-wise Dates
There are nine exam days in all. The first three are mostly for optional papers: regional languages, the arts subjects, Computer, the NSQF vocational subjects, Artificial Intelligence and Urdu. For the bulk of students, who take Hindi, English and Sanskrit with the core subjects, the real run begins on 2 March. The weekdays below are worked out from the 2027 calendar.
| Date | Day | Subject(s) |
|---|---|---|
| 24 February 2027 | Wednesday | Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Sindhi, Painting, Gayan Vadan, Tabla Pakhawaj, Computer |
| 25 February 2027 | Thursday | All NSQF (vocational) subjects, Artificial Intelligence |
| 27 February 2027 | Saturday | Urdu |
| 2 March 2027 | Tuesday | Hindi |
| 5 March 2027 | Friday | Mathematics (Standard and Basic) |
| 9 March 2027 | Tuesday | English |
| 12 March 2027 | Friday | Sanskrit |
| 15 March 2027 | Monday | Science |
| 18 March 2027 | Thursday | Social Science |
From the first paper to the last, the window is 23 days. Only one paper falls on a Saturday (Urdu, 27 February) and none on a Sunday. A student who does not take Urdu, a regional language or a vocational subject will sit six main papers between 2 and 18 March, with Social Science closing the series.

Mathematics Standard or Basic: one date, two papers
Both Mathematics papers are on Friday, 5 March. MPBSE sets separate question papers for Mathematics Standard and Mathematics Basic, and a candidate writes only the one chosen at the time of the exam form. If you are unsure which option your school entered, ask the class teacher now. Mistakes in subject choice are far easier to sort out before the admit cards are printed than in the week of the exam.
Optional and skill papers come first
The 24 February slot groups Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi and Sindhi with Painting, Gayan Vadan (vocal and instrumental music), Tabla Pakhawaj and Computer. The next day is for every NSQF vocational subject and for Artificial Intelligence. Students in these groups start their board exams almost a week before their classmates, so their revision plan has to begin earlier too.
Where the Class 10 and Class 12 schedules meet
Higher Secondary papers begin a week earlier, on 17 February, and run till 19 March. The two classes share only two mornings: on 24 February Class 12 has Drawing and Designing, and on 25 February it has Psychology, while Class 10 writes its regional language, arts, NSQF and AI papers. On every other date, a school that is a centre for both classes runs them on different days. Families with one child in each class will find the house in exam mode for almost five weeks, so it helps to pin both timetables on the same wall.
How many free days you get before each paper
For most families the start date matters less than the spacing. The 2027 High School schedule is evenly spread. Counting from the previous date in the timetable, every core paper gets two clear days before it, and English gets three.
That evenness cuts both ways. There is no long break in the middle to catch up on a weak subject, so a student who falls behind in early March has no week-long cushion to fall back on. Plan the heavy revision for Mathematics, Science and Social Science in January and February, and keep the two-day gaps for practice papers and quick notes.

- Hindi (2 March): 28 February and 1 March are free after the Urdu paper.
- Mathematics (5 March): 3 and 4 March.
- English (9 March): 6, 7 and 8 March, the only three-day gap in the schedule.
- Sanskrit (12 March): 10 and 11 March.
- Science (15 March): 13 and 14 March, a Saturday and a Sunday.
- Social Science (18 March): 16 and 17 March.
Some students may prefer to spend part of the three-day gap before English on Mathematics or Science. That is a personal call. What the table does show is that Science and Social Science, two of the heavier papers, both come in the final week, with only a weekend before Science.
A revision plan built around these dates
A simple rule helps in board years: let the date sheet decide the order of revision, not the order of chapters in the textbook. Here is one way to use the 2027 dates. Adjust it to your own strengths, and to your school’s pre-board and practical calendar.
Till mid-February: finish the syllabus once
If your school holds pre-boards in this period, use them to find weak chapters in Mathematics, Science and Social Science, since those three papers sit in the last fortnight with only two free days before each. By the time practicals start at your school, every chapter should have been read at least once.
Last week of February: languages and optional papers
If you take a regional language, NSQF subject, AI or Urdu, these papers come between 24 and 27 February. Students who do not take them can use this week for Hindi and for full-length Mathematics practice papers written in three hours, starting at 9 am, to match the real sitting.
2 to 18 March: one subject at a time
Once Hindi is over, the pattern repeats: paper, two free days, paper. Use the first free day for the full syllabus of the next subject and the second for one timed paper and quick notes. Avoid starting new chapters in this phase. On the evening before each paper, keep the admit card, pens, geometry box (for Mathematics) and a water bottle ready, and confirm the route to the centre.
Two weekends fall inside this fortnight: 6 and 7 March, before English, and 13 and 14 March, before Science. If the family has a wedding, a trip or guests planned for either weekend, this is the time to move them. A student who loses both of those days before Science has nothing left to fall back on.
Exam-day timings and reporting rules
The paper itself runs for three hours, from 9 am to 12 noon. The reporting schedule starts an hour earlier, and the gate shuts 15 minutes before the paper begins. According to the timetable, as reported by Patrika, the morning runs like this.

- Reach the exam centre by 8:00 am.
- Take your seat in the exam hall by 8:30 am.
- Entry closes at 8:45 am. No candidate is allowed in after this. The question paper is handed out at 8:45 am.
- The answer book is given at 8:55 am.
- Writing starts at 9:00 am and the paper ends at 12:00 noon.
A morning shift also means an early breakfast and early nights for three weeks. Students who usually study late into the night should start shifting their routine in January, not in the week of Hindi.
What to check once the admit card arrives
The admit card date has not been announced. When the card is issued, check your name, photograph, roll number, the exam centre address and the subject list, including whether it shows Mathematics Standard or Basic. Report any error to your school straight away so it can be corrected before the exams begin.
Practical exams and the June second exam
Practical and internal assessment work is handled by schools under the board’s schedule. The Free Press Journal reported that practical exams for the main session will run from 1 February to 19 March 2027 and may be held on holidays if needed. Your school will give you its own dates inside that window.
The same report says the Class 10 second examination is planned for 15 to 30 June 2027 (Class 12 from 11 June). This is the board’s second chance exam held after the main results. Who can appear, the form dates and the subject-wise schedule will come in a separate notice, which has not been issued yet.
How to download the MP Board 10th time table 2027 PDF
The official programme is a Hindi PDF on the board’s website. Screenshots that circulate on WhatsApp are often cropped or from an older year, so download it yourself and keep a printed copy on the study table.
- Open the MPBSE website, mpbse.nic.in.
- Go to the Time Table section from the main menu (the exam time table page).
- Look for the main examination programme (परीक्षा कार्यक्रम) for High School, year 2027.
- Open the PDF and check the year, the class and the exam timing printed on top.
- Save it and print a copy. Mark your own subjects with a highlighter.
The board’s school-facing services, such as exam forms and enrolment, run on the MPOnline portal at mpbse.mponline.gov.in.
Who follows this schedule, and who doesn’t
The MP Board 10th time table 2027 applies to every MPBSE-affiliated government and private High School in Madhya Pradesh, and to private and self-study candidates registered with the board. CBSE and CISCE schools in the state run on their own calendars.
Maharishi Vidya Mandir schools in Madhya Pradesh, including the MVM Jabalpur school, are CBSE-affiliated, so their Class 10 students follow the CBSE Class 10 date sheet 2027, not MPBSE’s. The full list of MVM branches shows which board each school follows. ICSE students can check the ICSE Class 10 time table 2027, and families comparing state boards will find the UP Board 10th time table 2027 useful.
Still to be announced
The date sheet answers the big question, but a few pieces are still missing. As of 21 October 2026, MPBSE has not announced these:
- The admit card release date for the 2027 main exam
- School-wise practical dates (only the overall window has been reported)
- Eligibility, form dates and the paper-wise programme for the June second exam
- The Class 10 result date
We will update this page when the board publishes any of these. For other board schedules and results, see our board exams section.
