Status checked 24 Oct 2026: 2027 dates are out for eight boards; CBSE, CISCE and 15 other boards had not released their schedules when we checked.
Eight boards, eight very different calendars. As of Saturday, 24 October 2026, the board exam time table 2027 is out, in full or in outline, for Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal (Madhyamik), Gujarat and, for Intermediate, Andhra Pradesh. The earliest of them, UP Board, begins on Friday, 5 February 2027. CBSE and CISCE have not put out their 2027 date sheets yet, and neither have most of the Hindi-belt boards, Kerala, Telangana or Andhra Pradesh’s SSC board.
We are running this page as a tracker. Every board that has made 2027 dates public is listed with its exam window, the date it announced them and a link to our detailed board-wise story where we have one. Boards that have said nothing so far sit in a separate table along with their official website, so you know exactly where to look. No date on this page is a guess. Where a board has not published something, we say so plainly.
- Released (8): UP, MP, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal Madhyamik, Karnataka (tentative), AP Inter (provisional), Maharashtra (probable dates) and Gujarat (window only)
- First paper anywhere: UP Board, Friday 5 February 2027, Class 10 and 12 together
- Last main-exam paper among released boards: Tamil Nadu SSLC, Monday 12 April 2027

- Not released as of 24 October 2026: CBSE, CISCE (ICSE and ISC) and 15 state boards
Board Exam Time Table 2027: Boards That Have Released Dates
The table below covers every board that has 2027 dates in the public domain, sorted by the day its first paper is due. Please read the last column before you mark anything in your diary. A “probable” or “tentative” schedule can still be changed by the board, and Gujarat’s dates come from its academic calendar, not from a paper-wise timetable.

Uttar Pradesh (UPMSP): 5 to 24 February 2027
UPMSP moved first among the large Hindi-belt boards. Its notice, signed by Secretary Bhagwati Singh and dated 12 October 2026, puts High School and Intermediate papers in the same window, from Friday, 5 February to Wednesday, 24 February 2027. There are two shifts a day: 8:30 am to 11:45 am and 2 pm to 5:15 pm. Class 10 opens with Hindi and Prarambhik Hindi. The paper-by-paper lists are in our UP Board 10th time table 2027 and UP Board 12th time table 2027 stories; the notice itself is on upmsp.edu.in.
Maharashtra (MSBSHSE): probable SSC and HSC windows
Maharashtra has given windows, not a timetable. The state board’s press note of 17 September 2026 calls the dates sambhavya, or probable. HSC written papers are slated from Monday, 8 February to Tuesday, 16 March 2027, and SSC from Monday, 15 February to Thursday, 11 March 2027. Practical, oral and internal assessment work comes first: 20 January to 6 February for HSC and 28 January to 13 February for SSC. The subject-wise list will be posted separately on mahahsscboard.in; last year the final SSC timetable came out on 31 October 2025. See our Maharashtra SSC time table 2027 page for the exam-form deadlines as well.
West Bengal (WBBSE): Madhyamik from 15 February 2027
The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education notified the Madhyamik Pariksha 2027 routine on 13 July 2026 in notice No. EMU/C/35, signed by its President-in-Charge, and the Free Press Journal reported it on 14 July. It is a tight schedule: eight papers in 11 days, one subject a day.
- Monday, 15 February: First Language
- Tuesday, 16 February: Second Language
- Thursday, 18 February: History
- Friday, 19 February: Geography
- Monday, 22 February: Mathematics
- Tuesday, 23 February: Physical Science
- Wednesday, 24 February: Life Science
- Thursday, 25 February: Optional Elective subjects
Every compulsory paper runs from 10:45 am to 2 pm, and the first 15 minutes, up to 11 am, are only for reading the question paper. Elective timings on 25 February vary by subject (Sewing and Needle Craft runs till 3 pm, Computer Application till 1:30 pm), and the notice says the Music practical and the dates for Physical Education and Social Service and for Work Education will be announced later on wbbse.wb.gov.in. Class 12 (Uchcha Madhyamik) exams are run by a different body, the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, and we have kept it in the awaited list below.
Madhya Pradesh (MPBSE): 17 February to 19 March 2027
MPBSE put out its paper-wise programme back in August, well before most boards. The Higher Secondary (Class 12) main exam runs from Wednesday, 17 February to Friday, 19 March 2027, and the High School (Class 10) exam from Wednesday, 24 February to Thursday, 18 March 2027. Every paper is in a single morning sitting, 9 am to 12 noon, for regular and self-study (swadhyayi) candidates alike. The subject-wise dates were carried by NDTV and The Indian Express on 14 August 2026. Our MP Board 10th time table 2027 and MP Board 12th time table 2027 pages list every paper with its weekday.
Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP): Inter from 24 February 2027
The Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh has put out a provisional timetable for the Intermediate Public Examinations 2027. First-year papers run from Wednesday, 24 February to Monday, 15 March and second-year papers from Thursday, 25 February to Tuesday, 16 March 2027, with the two years writing on alternate days from 9 AM to 12 noon. Ethics and Human Values (27 January) and Environmental Education (29 January) come first, and practicals for general courses are from 1 to 10 February. The board calls the schedule provisional, so a date can still move. Class 10 (SSC) exams in the state are run by a separate body, the Directorate of Government Examinations, and that timetable is still awaited. Subject-wise dates for both years: AP Inter time table 2027.
Gujarat (GSHSEB): 25 February to 17 March 2027
Gujarat’s board has not issued a subject-wise timetable yet. What exists is the 2026-27 academic calendar, reported by DeshGujarat on 3 May 2026, which blocks the SSC (Std 10) and HSC (Std 12) board exams from Thursday, 25 February to Wednesday, 17 March 2027. The same calendar puts preliminary exams for Std 10 to 12 on 18 to 28 January 2027 and Std 12 Science practicals on 5 to 13 February 2027. For reference, the 2026 schedule was announced on 8 November 2025, and the exams began on 26 February 2026. A revision issued in December 2025 moved the papers fixed for 4 March (Dhuleti) to 16, 17 and 18 March, so the 2026 exams finished on 18 March, as News On AIR reported. The paper-wise list for 2027 will appear on gseb.org.
Karnataka (KSEAB): two tentative attempts for each class
KSEAB uploaded four timetables on 8 October 2026, two for each class, and every one of them is marked tentative. For II PUC, Exam-1 runs from Saturday, 27 February to Wednesday, 17 March 2027 and Exam-2 from Monday, 3 May to Saturday, 15 May 2027. For SSLC, Exam-1 is from Monday, 22 March to Monday, 5 April and Exam-2 from Monday, 24 May to Monday, 31 May 2027. Objections closed on 22 October 2026, and the final version could still move a paper or two. All four timetables are in our KSEAB time table 2027 overview.
Tamil Nadu (DGE): 3 March to 12 April 2027
Tamil Nadu’s Directorate of Government Examinations released its 2026-27 schedule on 14 October 2026, with School Education Minister A Rajmohan unveiling it in Chennai. Plus Two theory papers run from Wednesday, 3 March to Monday, 29 March 2027, after practicals on 8 to 18 February, and the Directorate has pencilled in 7 May as the result date. SSLC goes later: Wednesday, 17 March to Monday, 12 April 2027, with practicals from 19 to 26 February and a tentative result date of 20 May. Our TN 10th time table 2027 and TN 12th time table 2027 stories carry the full lists.
Boards Yet to Announce 2027 Dates
Seventeen boards on our list had no board exam time table 2027 in public view when we last checked on 24 October. We count by table row: West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh appear in both tables because their Class 10 and Class 12 exams are run by separate bodies (WBBSE and WBCHSE; the Directorate of Government Examinations and BIEAP) and only one of each pair has released dates, while Odisha, Telangana and Kerala get one row each even though different bodies handle their Class 10 and Class 12 exams. For several of them we opened the official website rather than rely on old reports. CBSE’s latest announcements still show LOC and special-examination notices, not a main date sheet. On 22 October, CISCE’s newest notice was about specimen papers for the 2027 examinations, and Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan’s latest notifications, the Andhra Pradesh Directorate of Government Examinations website (bse.ap.gov.in), Telangana’s Directorate of Government Examinations and the Bihar board portal had no 2027 timetable either. Nor did the news section of Rajasthan’s board website.

CBSE: date sheet still pending
CBSE has not released a tentative or final 2027 date sheet for either class. Schools have been busy with the List of Candidates: the normal-fee deadline was 21 October 2026, and the late-fee window runs from 22 to 30 October. Last year the board issued tentative date sheets on 24 September 2025 and the final ones on 30 October 2025, and the Class 10 first board exam of 2026 ran from 17 February to 11 March. We are tracking both classes on our CBSE 10th date sheet 2027 and CBSE 12th date sheet 2027 pages, which will be updated the day the board publishes.
CISCE: only the windows are known
The Council’s examination page lists February to March 2027 for ICSE and February to April 2027 for ISC, with results expected in May 2027. The paper-wise timetables are not out. For the 2026 exams, both were issued on 13 November 2025. Last year’s papers, clearly marked as 2026 dates, are on our ICSE 10th time table 2027 and ISC 12th time table 2027 pages.
2027 Board Exams Month by Month
Laid out on a single calendar instead of board by board, the released schedules show how crowded February 2027 is going to be. Practicals and pre-boards take up January, the written papers start in the first week of February and every released board is done with its main (or first) exam by 12 April. Only Karnataka’s second attempts spill into May.

- Andhra Pradesh Inter: Ethics and Human Values on 27 January, Environmental Education on 29 January, general-course practicals from 1 to 10 February
February 2027: seven start dates

March 2027: the south takes over
Tamil Nadu Plus Two opens on Wednesday, 3 March, followed by Tamil Nadu SSLC on Wednesday, 17 March and Karnataka SSLC Exam-1 on Monday, 22 March. Most of the northern and western boards wind up in the middle of the month: Maharashtra SSC on 11 March, AP Inter first year on 15 March, AP Inter second year and Maharashtra HSC on 16 March, Gujarat and Karnataka II PUC on 17 March, MP Class 10 on 18 March and MP Class 12 on 19 March. Tamil Nadu Plus Two ends on 29 March.
April and May 2027: last papers and second attempts
Karnataka SSLC Exam-1 closes on Monday, 5 April and Tamil Nadu SSLC on Monday, 12 April. After that only Karnataka’s second attempts remain on the released calendars: II PUC Exam-2 from 3 to 15 May and SSLC Exam-2 from 24 to 31 May. Tamil Nadu has pencilled in 7 May for Plus Two results and 20 May for SSLC, both tentative.
Two Board Exams in One Year: CBSE Class 10 and Karnataka
Two of the boards in this tracker now give Class 10 students more than one shot within the same year, and Karnataka extends that to II PUC as well. The rules are not the same, so do not assume one board works like the other.
CBSE (Class 10 only). The first board exam, held in February and March, is compulsory for every Class 10 student. The second exam is optional. Under CBSE’s notification of 14 February 2026, it is meant for students who passed and want to improve their marks in up to three subjects from Science, Mathematics, Social Science and the languages, and for those placed in the compartment category after the first exam. In 2026 the first exam ran from 17 February to 11 March and the second from 15 to 21 May, with results of the second exam on 18 July. The 2027 dates for both have not been announced. The scheme does not cover Class 12, which in 2026 had a single main exam followed by a supplementary exam in July.
Karnataka (SSLC and II PUC). KSEAB has already printed tentative timetables for Exam-1 and Exam-2 in both classes, and its 8 October circular mentions only these two attempts for 2027. What it has not published yet is the 2027 Exam-2 circular, which will settle who can register and what it costs. Until that comes, treat eligibility and fees for Exam-2 as not announced.
How to Download Your Board Exam Time Table 2027
Every board puts its schedule on its own website first, usually as a PDF attached to a notice. The menu names differ, which is where most students get lost, but the route is roughly the same everywhere.

- Open your board’s official website from the tables on this page. Type the address yourself rather than tapping a forwarded link.
- Go to the section called Latest News, Notifications, Circulars, Press Release or Examination. Some boards also run a news ticker on the home page.
- Look for a notice titled Time Table, Date Sheet, Routine or Programme with 2027 in the name. West Bengal, for instance, calls it a routine.
- Open the PDF and check the date printed on it and whether it says tentative, probable or final. Then find your class, stream and subject codes.
- Save the file, write your papers into a calendar, and check the site again before the exams in case of a revised notice.
Important: Fake date sheets for CBSE and state boards circulate on social media every year before the real ones. If a PDF has no board letterhead, no signature or no issue date, or if it is not on the board’s website, do not plan around it.
Planning When Your Board Has Not Announced Dates
If you are in Class 10 or 12 with CBSE, CISCE or one of the 15 state boards still to announce, the date itself matters less right now than what you do with the next three months. A few things are in your hands already.
- Finish the full syllabus once by the end of December. Seven of the eight boards that have announced dates begin their written papers in February, and pre-boards normally come before that.
- Keep your school’s pre-board and practical schedule in front of you. Schools tend to get board circulars before the general public sees them.
- Ask your school to confirm your LOC or exam-form details, including the spelling of your name and subject codes. Corrections are easier now than after the admit card is printed.
- Bookmark this page and your board’s official site. When a timetable drops, the gaps between papers matter more than the start date, so plan revision around them.
Frequently Asked Questions
