Maharashtra Board Exam Date Sheet 2027: SSC and HSC Dates at a Glance

Maharashtra board exam dates 2027: HSC from 8 Feb to 16 Mar, SSC from 15 Feb to 11 Mar (probable). Practical dates, form deadlines and what is pending.

Maharashtra Board exam dates 2027 for SSC and HSC
Status checked 23 Oct 2026: MSBSHSE has announced probable exam windows for SSC and HSC 2027. The subject-wise timetables have not been released yet.

Maharashtra’s two big board exams will overlap for almost a month in early 2027. The Class 12 (HSC) written papers are due to open on Monday, 8 February and the Class 10 (SSC) papers a week later, on Monday, 15 February. By the time SSC students finish on Thursday, 11 March, HSC students still have five days left, with their last paper on Tuesday, 16 March 2027.

These are the dates in a one-page press note issued from the state board’s head office in Pune on 17 September 2026 and signed by Board Secretary Dr Deepak Mali. The note calls them probable (sambhavya) dates. The Maharashtra board exam date sheet 2027 with paper-by-paper dates is still to come, and the board has said it will publish it separately on mahahsscboard.in. This page puts both classes side by side; for full detail on one class, go to our Maharashtra SSC time table 2027 or Maharashtra HSC time table 2027 explainers.

Two things stand out. First, HSC practicals start a week before SSC practicals, and both finish just before the written papers begin, so schools run the two practical windows back to back. Second, the written windows overlap from 15 February to 11 March. Families with one child in each class will have exam mornings on many of the same days.

What the Board’s Note Does and Does Not Say

The press note fixes only the first and last dates of each window. It does not give the order of subjects, the shift timings or the gap between papers, so any day-by-day list circulating before the board’s own PDF is a guess. The word “probable” also leaves room for the board to move the windows slightly when it issues the final timetable.

The note applies to all nine divisional boards that conduct the exams across Maharashtra, so the dates are the same whether a student is in Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur or Konkan division.

When will the subject-wise timetable come?

The board has not given a date. Last year it posted the final February-March 2026 timetables for both classes on 31 October 2025. Until the 2027 PDF appears, no subject date should be treated as fixed, whatever a forwarded message or coaching website says.

Exam Form Deadlines Still Open

Exam forms for both classes are filled by schools and junior colleges, not by students directly. The circulars ask schools to enter the APAAR ID where a student has one.

Fee stageHSC (Class 12)SSC (Class 10)
Regular feeFriday, 14 August to Saturday, 31 October 2026Wednesday, 19 August to Saturday, 31 October 2026
Late feeSunday, 1 November to Sunday, 15 November 2026From 1 November 2026
Very late fee16 to 30 November 2026, Rs 50 per student per dayAs per the board’s SSC circular

If you are a repeater or a private candidate, ask your school or college this week whether your form has been submitted. Once the regular-fee window closes on 31 October, every extra day costs money, and after the very late window there is no route left for the 2027 exams.

How These Dates Compare With Last Year

The 2026 exams followed the same shape: practicals in late January and early February, written papers from mid-February to mid-March, and final timetables released at the end of October. The final 2026 timetables are still on the board website, and our class-wise articles list them in full. They are a reasonable guide to the order of subjects, but students should not copy the 2026 dates onto their 2027 calendars.

A Simple Plan for the Next Three Months

  1. By 31 October 2026: confirm with your school or college that your exam form and fee have gone through.
  2. November: finish the syllabus for the papers you find hardest, so that school preliminary exams become revision rather than first reading.
  3. When the subject-wise PDF is out: download it only from mahahsscboard.in and mark each paper in your calendar.
  4. January 2027: practical journals and projects ready before your practical window opens (20 January for HSC, 28 January for SSC).
