Maharashtra SSC Time Table 2027: Class 10 Exams From 15 February

Maharashtra SSC time table 2027: Class 10 written exams from 15 Feb to 11 Mar 2027 (probable), practicals from 28 Jan. Status, form dates, 2026 order.

Class 10 students in Maharashtra can now plan their year around two fixed windows. The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), Pune, has notified that the SSC written examination will run from Monday, 15 February 2027 to Thursday, 11 March 2027. Those two dates set the outer limits of the Maharashtra SSC time table 2027. Practical, grade, oral and internal assessment exams come first, from Thursday, 28 January to Saturday, 13 February 2027.

One word in the board’s press note matters a great deal. The dates are described as sambhavya, meaning probable. The subject-wise, day-by-day timetable has not been released yet, and the board says it will be put up separately on its website. Below is everything that is official so far, what last year’s schedule looked like, and the exam-form deadlines that Class 10 candidates and their schools still have to meet.

  • SSC (Class 10) written exams: 15 February to 11 March 2027 (probable dates)
  • Practical, grade, oral and internal assessment: 28 January to 13 February 2027
  • Press note signed by Board Secretary Dr Deepak Mali, dated 17 September 2026
  • Subject-wise timetable: not announced yet; last year’s final timetable came out on 31 October 2025
  • Exam forms with regular fee: open till 31 October 2026, then late fee from 1 November

Maharashtra SSC Time Table 2027: What the Board Has Notified

The announcement came as a one-page press note (prakatan) from the state board’s head office in Pune. It is dated 17 September 2026 and signed by Dr Deepak Mali, Secretary of the board, and was posted in the exam notices section of mahahsscboard.in. It covers both the HSC (Class 12) and SSC (Class 10) examinations of February-March 2027, which will be held through the board’s nine divisional boards: Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan.

For Class 10, the note gives two date ranges and nothing more. Here they are exactly as notified, with the weekday the board printed against each date.

Subject-wise timetableNot announced yet (to be published separately on the board website)

The board explained why it has put out the dates so early. In the press note it says the probable dates are being announced so that schools, junior colleges and students can plan their syllabus, and to reduce the stress students feel about the exam. That is a fair reading of the move: a school that knows the written papers end on 11 March can now fix its prelims, revision weeks and practical batches with some confidence.

Paper-Wise Dates Are Not Out Yet. When to Expect Them

As of 21 October 2026, the exam notices on the board’s website carry no subject-wise Maharashtra SSC time table 2027 for Class 10. The only 2027 schedule documents are the press note above and its English version. Any PDF going around on WhatsApp that lists “Marathi on 15 February” or “Maths on 2 March” is not from the board, at least not yet.

Last year gives a useful clue about timing. For the February-March 2026 exams, the board put up the final SSC and HSC timetables on its website on 31 October 2025, along with a separate notice declaring them final. A similar late-October or November release would fit the pattern, but the board has not given a date this time, so treat that only as a guess based on last year.

Important: In its 2026 notice the board said the timetable on its website is for information only, and the printed timetable given to schools before the exam is the final one. It also told students not to accept timetables printed by other websites or circulated on social media, and said it would not be responsible for any loss caused by them.

So the safe routine for 2027 is simple. Check the “Latest Notifications” area of mahahsscboard.in, and once your school receives the printed timetable from the divisional board, match your subject list against it. If the two ever differ, the printed copy from the school wins.

The Class 10 Calendar From Now to March 2027

The exam dates are only one part of the year. Before a student sits the first paper, the school has to submit the exam form, pay the fee and send a verified pre-list to the divisional board. Then come the practicals and orals. Put together from the board’s own notices, the sequence looks like this.

Exam forms and fees

The board’s circular on SSC February-March 2027 application forms says regular students’ forms are filled online by schools, using the student’s PEN-ID from UDISE+. Repeaters, private candidates holding an enrolment certificate, students appearing under the class improvement scheme, and ITI students taking transfer of credit also apply online through their schools. The circular asks schools to enter the APAAR ID where a student has one.

  • Regular fee: Wednesday, 19 August 2026 to Saturday, 31 October 2026 (schools pay the fee online from 31 August to 31 October 2026)
  • Late fee: Sunday, 1 November 2026 to Sunday, 15 November 2026
  • Very late fee: Monday, 16 November 2026 to Monday, 30 November 2026, at Rs 50 per student per day
  • Fee receipts and student pre-list to the divisional board: Monday, 7 December 2026

The fee is paid by the school through the SBI online payment gateway on the board’s website. The circular is clear that forms still showing “Draft” and “Not Paid” will not be processed, and that old bank challans will not be accepted. Parents should ask the school, in writing if needed, to confirm the form has reached “Send to Board” and “Paid” status.

Practical, oral and internal assessment

These run from Thursday, 28 January to Saturday, 13 February 2027 and are conducted at the school level. The press note says the detailed subject-wise schedule for practicals, grade, oral and internal assessment will also be published separately. Schools usually fix their own batches inside the window, so the exact day for each student will come from the school.

Written papers

The theory papers begin on Monday, 15 February and end on Thursday, 11 March 2027. That is a 25-day window counting both ends. The board has not said anything yet about hall tickets (admit cards) for 2027; that notice usually follows the final timetable, and this page will be updated when it comes.

How 2027 Compares With the 2026 Class 10 Exams

The 2027 window opens earlier than last year’s. In 2026, the SSC written exams ran from Friday, 20 February to Wednesday, 18 March, and the practical, grade, oral and internal assessment exams from Monday, 2 February to Wednesday, 18 February 2026. Both blocks now start five days earlier, and the written papers finish a full week earlier.

The length has barely changed. The practical block is 17 days in both years. The written window shrinks from 27 days in 2026 to 25 days in 2027, so the last paper falls on 11 March instead of 18 March. For students that means a slightly tighter run of papers, but also an earlier start to the summer break and to Class 11 admissions.

There is one more change in the overlap. In 2026 the last practicals (18 February) fell two days before the first written paper (20 February). In 2027 the practical block ends on Saturday, 13 February and the written papers start on Monday, 15 February. Practically, there is just a Sunday between the last oral or internal test and the first theory paper, so revision for the first written paper has to be done before the practicals finish.

Last Year’s Paper Order, as a Planning Guide

Until the 2027 timetable is out, the 2026 SSC timetable is the best guide to how the board arranges Class 10 papers. It is not a prediction of 2027 dates, and the board is free to change the order. Still, the 2026 shape, with languages in the first half and maths, science and social science in the second, is a sensible base for a revision plan until the real dates arrive.

Here is the 2026 order for the main papers, taken from the board’s final SSC February-March 2026 timetable (PDF). All are morning papers starting at 11 am.

Wed, 18 MarSocial Sciences Paper II (Geography)11 am to 1 pm

A few details in that list are easy to miss. In 2026 the board kept an afternoon sitting from 3 pm to 6 pm on the first day for German and French, Marathi composite and Hindi composite were two-hour morning papers from 11 am to 1 pm, while the other composite language courses had a 3 pm to 5 pm afternoon sitting on 25 February. There was no paper between 27 February and 4 March. Divyang candidates who opt for Arithmetic in place of Mathematics wrote it on 6 March, alongside Algebra, and the Physiology, Hygiene and Home Science option for eligible Divyang candidates was set on 11 March.

Why the maths, science and social science papers are shorter

In the 2026 timetable, every full first, second and third language paper ran for three hours, from 11 am to 2 pm. Mathematics, Science and Technology, and Social Sciences were split into two parts each, and every part was a two-hour paper from 11 am to 1 pm. That gave six separate two-hour papers for the three core subjects, spread over six exam days between 6 and 18 March 2026.

The split changes how revision should be planned. A student cannot treat “Maths” as a single exam day; Algebra and Geometry are separate papers with separate days in between. The same is true of Science Part I and Part II, and of History-Political Science and Geography. When the 2027 timetable is out, the gap between these paired papers will be the thing to look at first.

How to Download the Maharashtra SSC Time Table 2027 PDF

Once the board releases the subject-wise schedule, it will appear on the official website along with the SSC and HSC timetables for other courses. These steps are based on how the site is laid out today.

  1. Open mahahsscboard.in. The site opens in Marathi; use the “English” link at the top if you prefer.
  2. Look at the “Latest Notifications” (नवीनतम सूचना) box on the home page, and pick the exam-related tab.
  3. Click “Read More” to see the full list of exam notices, sorted by date.
  4. Find the entry titled with “Time Table” or “वेळापत्रक” and “SSC (Std. X) February-March 2027”. Last year the English and Marathi versions were posted as separate entries.
  5. Open the PDF, check your subjects and index numbers, and save a copy on your phone.

Last year’s English SSC timetable was a six-page PDF laid out day by day, with columns for the morning (first half) and afternoon (second half) sittings and every subject listed with its index number. Expect a similar layout. Before relying on any copy, compare it with the printed timetable your school receives.

Using the Weeks Before the Final Timetable

Nothing stops a Class 10 student from planning before the full Maharashtra SSC time table 2027 is out. The two fixed points are the start of practicals on 28 January and the first written paper on 15 February 2027. Working back from those, roughly three months of teaching and revision time remain from late October.

A workable plan is to finish the syllabus by December and keep January for preliminary exams and practical work. Whatever plan your school follows, a few things are worth doing early: complete science practical journals and project files well before 28 January, keep the first fortnight of February for language revision, and keep the paired papers in maths, science and social science in mind when the dates are announced.

Students in CBSE or CISCE schools comparing schedules with friends in the state board can see our CBSE Class 10 date sheet 2027 update and the ICSE Class 10 time table 2027. Those boards follow their own calendars, so the dates will not match. If you are already looking beyond Class 10, our CBSE Class 12 date sheet 2027 page shows how the senior board exams are structured. Every board timetable we track is listed on our board exams page, and wider school news sits in the education news section.

One small practical point: the board runs a student counselling helpline, listed on its home page as 9112709112. It is meant for exam stress and related worries, and the number is worth saving before February.
