IBPS Clerk Prelims Result 2026: Release Date, Scorecard, Cut-Off

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has not declared the IBPS Clerk Prelims Result 2026 yet. As of 3 November 2026, the CRP CSA-XVI page on ibps.in shows no result link. According to the official notification, the prelims result is scheduled for November 2026, and the Main exam for December 2026.

The preliminary exam for Customer Service Associate (CSA) posts under CRP CSA-XVI was held on 10 and 11 October 2026. This page covers how to check the result, what the scorecard shows, how the cut-off works and what comes after the prelims.

Important Dates

These dates come from the tentative schedule in the IBPS notification dated 1 August 2026. The prelims dates are the ones on which the exam was actually held.

IBPS has not announced a fixed day for the prelims result. Exam-preparation sites have widely reported 27 December 2026 as the Mains date; check your Mains call letter for the confirmed date and shift.

IBPS Clerk Vacancies 2026

IBPS updated the indicative vacancies on 29 September 2026. Adding up the state-wise totals in the updated Annexure-I gives about 11,663 posts, with Union Bank of India yet to report its figures. Uttar Pradesh (1,752), Karnataka (1,458), Maharashtra (1,062) and West Bengal (951) have the largest numbers. IBPS says these figures are indicative, and final allotment will depend on the actual vacancies reported by banks.

How to Check the IBPS Clerk Prelims Result 2026

1. Go to ibps.in.
2. Click on “CRP CSA (Customer Service Associates)” and then open the CRP CSA-XVI page.
3. Click the link for the result status of the online preliminary examination once it is posted.
4. Enter your registration number or roll number and your password or date of birth, along with the captcha.
5. Your qualifying status will appear on the screen. Download and save it.

If you have lost your registration number or password, use the “Forgot Registration Number” or “Forgot Password” option on the IBPS login page. For other problems, IBPS takes complaints through its grievance portal, cgrs.ibps.in.

• Candidate name, roll number and registration number
• State or UT applied for and category
• Section-wise marks in English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability
• Total marks out of 100

IBPS usually releases the result status first and the prelims scorecard and cut-off a little later. Mains scores are not shared until provisional allotment is complete.

A quarter of the marks for a question is deducted for every wrong answer, and there is no penalty for unanswered questions. Where the exam is held in several sessions, IBPS normalises scores using the equi-percentile method.

How the IBPS Clerk Cut-Off Works

Candidates must clear the cut-off in each of the three prelims sections. IBPS then shortlists enough candidates in each category and state for the Main exam, depending on the number of vacancies. In the Main exam, candidates again need a minimum score in each test and a minimum total. The final cut-off is decided state-wise and category-wise.

IBPS has not released any cut-off for 2026. We have not listed “expected” cut-offs, as no official basis for them exists before the result. The official cut-off will be published on ibps.in along with the scores.

Selection Process and What Comes Next

The Clerk (CSA) recruitment has no interview. Selection works like this:

1. Prelims: qualifying only. Marks are not counted in the final merit list.
2. Mains: the final merit list is based only on Main exam marks.
3. Provisional allotment: to participating banks, based on merit, preference and vacancies, expected in March 2027.
4. Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT): a qualifying test in the local language opted for, held after the Main exam or provisional allotment but before joining the bank. Candidates who produce a Class 10 or higher mark sheet showing they studied that language are exempt.

Those who clear the prelims should start Main exam preparation straight away, with extra time for General/Financial Awareness, which is new at the Mains stage. Other openings this season include the RRB NTPC Graduate Recruitment 2026 and BEL Probationary Engineer Recruitment 2026.
