Rajasthan SET Minimum Qualifying Marks 2026

To be qualified under the applicable examinations rules candidates are required to fulfill the minimum aggregate qualifying requirement. The marks are based on the total marks for Papers I (100) and II (200).

CategoryMinimum Aggregate RequirementMarks Out of 300
General/Unreserved/EWS40%120
OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/Transgender35%105

The minimum qualifying marks is not the sole criteria for qualifying the SET. The final selection of the qualified candidates may also be subject to the applicable merit criteria subject-wise / category-wise. The candidates must check these requirements in the official notification of the Rajasthan SET 2026.

Rajasthan SET Cut Off 2026: How It Will Be Decided

The University of Kota has not released any cut-off for SET 2026 yet, and it has not published subject-wise cut-offs for earlier cycles in a form that can be used for a reliable estimate. We are not giving guessed ranges here, because a wrong number can make candidates either relax or panic for no reason.

What decides the cut-off is clear, though. A candidate first has to cross the minimum aggregate marks across Paper I and Paper II (given in the table above). Among those who cross it, the qualifying list is drawn up subject-wise and category-wise. Under the UGC norms that state eligibility tests follow, about 6% of the candidates who appeared in both papers are declared qualified, so the final cut-off for a subject depends on how many candidates took that paper and how they scored.

This means a popular subject such as Hindi, History or Political Science, where a large number of candidates appear, can end up with a higher cut-off than a subject with fewer candidates. The difficulty of the Paper II for your subject matters too. Use the master question paper with answers on uok.ac.in to work out your own score (2 marks per correct answer, no negative marking) and compare it with the official cut-off when it is released.

Rajasthan SET Merit List 2026
