When Will the KPSC KAS Admit Card Be Released?

KPSC has not announced a release date for the hall ticket. The commission usually makes admit cards available online some days before an exam and announces it through a note on its website. With the exam on 15 November, candidates should check the KPSC website daily from the first week of November.

If the link goes live and you cannot log in, use the “forgot password” option on the application portal or contact the KPSC helpline listed on the website. Do not wait until the day before the exam to try.

How to Download the KPSC KAS Hall Ticket 2026

  1. Visit the official KPSC website, kpsc.karnataka.gov.in.
  2. Check the “What’s New” section for the Gazetted Probationers Preliminary Exam 2026-27 admit card link.
  3. Log in with the user ID or registration number and password you used while applying.
  4. Your admit card will appear on screen.
  5. Check every detail, download the PDF and take a clear printout.

Details to Check on the Admit Card

  • Your name, photograph and signature
  • Register number
  • Exam name and paper timings
  • Exam centre name and full address
  • Reporting time and instructions to candidates

If your photo is unclear or any detail is wrong, contact KPSC immediately through the contact details on its website. Do not make handwritten changes to the admit card.

What to Carry on Exam Day

  • A printed copy of the admit card
  • An original valid photo ID, such as Aadhaar, voter ID, passport, PAN card or driving licence, as permitted in the instructions
  • Any other items specifically allowed on the admit card, such as a black or blue ballpoint pen

Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, Bluetooth devices and other electronic items are normally not allowed inside exam halls. Follow the exact list printed on your admit card, since it overrides general advice.

Exam Pattern for the Preliminary Exam

The preliminary exam has two objective-type papers of two hours each, as shown in the time table. The prelims is a screening stage: candidates who qualify are called for the Main Examination, followed by a personality test, as laid down in the KPSC notification and the Karnataka Gazetted Probationers recruitment rules. Check the notification for the paper-wise syllabus, marks and negative marking rules.

Planning Your Exam Day

With Paper I ending at noon and Paper II starting at 2:00 pm, you get a two-hour break. Carry water and a light snack, and stay close to the centre rather than travelling during the break. Keep your admit card and ID with you at all times, because you will be checked again before the afternoon paper. Reach well before the reporting time printed on the hall ticket; late entry is generally not permitted once the gates close.

Last-Week Preparation Tips

  • Revise Karnataka-specific current affairs from the last 12 months, including state budget, schemes and appointments.
  • Go through previous KPSC prelims question papers and time yourself for two hours per paper.
  • Focus on accuracy. Guessing blindly can cost marks where negative marking applies.
  • Visit or locate your exam centre a day before if it is in an unfamiliar area.
  • Sleep well the night before. A full day with two papers needs energy.
