IGNOU Hall Ticket December 2026: TEE Admit Card, Exam Dates

IGNOU has not released the hall ticket for the December 2026 Term-End Examination (TEE) yet. The university’s revised date sheet, dated 30 October 2026, says hall tickets of eligible students “will be available on the University website soon”. As of 3 November 2026, no hall ticket link has appeared in the announcements section of ignou.ac.in.

The exams themselves begin on 25 November 2026 and, according to the revised date sheet, run until 14 January 2027. Earlier reports that the exams end on 1 January 2027 are out of date. This page explains the confirmed schedule, how the hall ticket is usually downloaded and what to check before exam day.

Hall Ticket Release Date: What We Know

IGNOU does not announce a fixed release date for TEE hall tickets in advance. The official line in the December 2026 date sheet is simply that hall tickets will be put up “soon” and that students should keep checking the website.

Going by past cycles, the hall ticket is normally uploaded about one to two weeks before the first paper. With exams starting on 25 November, students can reasonably expect the link in mid-November, but this is an estimate, not an IGNOU date. Do not wait until the night before your paper. Download it as soon as the link goes live so there is time to fix any problem with your Regional Centre.

Revised Date Sheet: Key Points

IGNOU’s Student Evaluation Division has put out a revised tentative date sheet for the December 2026 TEE (ODL and Online mode). The main points from the PDF are:

  • Exams are held every scheduled day in two sessions: 10 AM to 1 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM. The actual duration of each paper is printed on the question paper.
  • The first exam date in the schedule is 25 November 2026 and the last is 14 January 2027.
  • The exam centre can change at the last minute for unavoidable reasons. Affected students are told to stay in touch with their Regional Centre.
  • Answers are accepted only in the language(s) in which the programme is offered. Students may, however, write in Hindi even if they registered in English, except in language programmes.
  • A few courses have objective-type (MCQ/OMR) papers, including BSHF101, FST01, BEVAE181, BSSS183, DECE01 to DECE03 and some CLIS courses. Most papers are descriptive.

Because the schedule was revised, check the dates of your own course codes against the latest PDF rather than an older copy or a screenshot shared in a group.

Conditions for Appearing in the Exam

IGNOU’s date sheet makes it clear that permission to sit the exam is provisional. Your result can be withheld if any of these conditions is not met:

  1. Your registration for the course is valid and not time-barred.
  2. You have submitted the required assignments by the due date, where applicable.
  3. You have completed the minimum study period for the course.
  4. You have paid the exam fee for every course you are taking.

The university has also issued a separate notice on online submission of assignments through its Online Assignment Management System (OAMS) for the December 2026 TEE. Check your assignment status before the exams start. If an assignment has not been recorded, raise it with your Regional Centre now, not after results are out.

How to Download the IGNOU Hall Ticket

Once the link is active, the steps usually look like this:

  1. Open the official website, ignou.ac.in.
  2. Look for the link “Hall Ticket for December 2026 Term-End Examination” under announcements or student support.
  3. Enter your enrolment number and select your programme from the list.
  4. Submit the details to view your hall ticket.
  5. Download the PDF and take a clear printout.

Online programme learners and some students may be directed to IGNOU’s Samarth student portal, which needs their login credentials. Use only the link shown on ignou.ac.in, and avoid third-party sites that ask for your personal details.

Details to Check on the Hall Ticket

  • Your name and enrolment number
  • Programme name and code
  • Course codes for which you are allowed to appear
  • Exam centre code and full address
  • Date and session of each paper
  • Instructions for exam day

If a course you registered for is missing, it usually means the exam form, fee or assignment condition for that course is not satisfied. Contact your Regional Centre with your enrolment number and proof of payment or submission.

Exam Day Instructions

  • Carry a printout of the hall ticket along with your IGNOU identity card. Students without a valid ID may not be allowed in.
  • Reach the centre well before the session begins. Check the centre address a day in advance, since centres can change.
  • If you have two papers on the same day, note whether each one is in the morning or evening session.
  • Mobile phones and other electronic devices are not allowed inside the exam hall. Bring only permitted stationery.
  • Keep the hall ticket safe until your results are declared, as you may need it later.
