UPSSSC PET Answer Key 2026 Out: Shift-wise PDF, Download Link

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the provisional answer keys for the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2026. The keys cover all six shifts of the written exam held on 25 October, 30 October and 1 November 2026 in 60 districts of the state.

According to the commission’s notice dated 2 November 2026, the keys are for the master set of each shift and will stay on the UPSSSC website until 8 November 2026. Candidates should download the key for their own date and shift now and work out their likely score before the links are taken down.

UPSSSC PET Answer Key 2026: Highlights

PET 2026 Exam Dates and Shift Timings

The PET was originally planned for 23, 24 and 25 October 2026. In late September the commission revised the schedule, and the exam was finally held on the dates below.

Make sure you open the key for the exact date and shift you appeared in. Each of the six shifts has its own separate PDF.

How to Download the UPSSSC PET Answer Key 2026

1. Go to the official website, upsssc.gov.in.
2. On the home page, look for the notices under Advertisement No. 16-Exam/2026 dated 2 November 2026.
3. Click the link for your exam date and shift, for example the first shift of 25-10-2026.
4. The PDF of the master set key will open. Download it.
5. Note the question booklet series on your question paper so you can match your answers correctly.

The commission has also issued a combined notice that lists the links for all six shifts. If a link does not open on mobile, try a desktop browser, or use the direct links in the table at the end of this article.

Matching Your Booklet With the Master Set

UPSSSC has published the key for the master set of each shift. PET question booklets are printed in different series, with the same questions in a different order. If your booklet series is not the master set, match each question by its text, not by its number, before marking it right or wrong. Doing this carefully avoids wrong score estimates, which is the most common mistake candidates make when checking a shuffled paper.

A simple method is to write the first few words of each question next to your marked option on a sheet of paper, then find the same question in the master key. It takes longer, but it gives you a far more reliable figure.

How to Calculate Your Expected Score

1. Keep your question booklet and a note of the options you marked on the OMR sheet.
2. Compare each answer with the provisional key for your shift.
3. Count your correct and incorrect answers.
4. Apply the marking scheme printed in the instructions on your question booklet and in the PET 2026 advertisement, including any deduction for wrong answers.

The PET paper has 100 objective questions and the exam lasts two hours. Remember that the provisional key can still change, so treat your calculation as an estimate.

Objections and Final Answer Key

The 2 November notice only lists the answer key links and the date until which they will be available. It does not mention an online objection window, a fee or a deadline for challenges. If UPSSSC opens an objection process, it will issue a separate notice on its website. Check the home page every day until 8 November.

After any review, the commission will use the final key to prepare the PET 2026 result and scorecards. The PET score is used to shortlist candidates for later Group C recruitment exams conducted by UPSSSC, so your marks matter beyond this one test.

What Comes Next

• Provisional keys stay online until 8 November 2026.
• Any objection process, if announced, through a separate UPSSSC notice.
• Final answer key and PET 2026 result, dates not yet announced.
• PET scorecards, which are used for UPSSSC Group C mains exams that require a valid PET score.
